Harvey Elliott is set to join Aston Villa from Liverpool in a deal worth £35 million, with the talented midfielder already on his way to Birmingham to complete a medical.

The transfer will begin as an initial loan, but includes an obligation to buy, meaning Elliott is expected to become a permanent Aston Villa player next season.

The 21-year-old has been given the green light to finalise the move after limited first-team minutes at Liverpool under Arne Slot.
