Niger Tornadoes receive N2m reward after defeating Rivers United 1-0 in NPFL clash at Bako Kontagora Stadium

Niger Tornadoes have been rewarded with a N2 million cash gift following their 1-0 victory over Rivers United in a rescheduled Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 26 fixture.

The encounter, played at the Bako Kontagora Stadium on Thursday, saw Niger Tornadoes secure maximum points through a decisive goal from Terdoo Shimagande.

The reward was announced immediately after the match by Danjuma Abdul Masu, Chairman of the Niger State Sports Commission, as a show of appreciation for the team’s impressive performance.

The crucial win lifts Niger Tornadoes to 10th position on the NPFL table, with 39 points from 30 matches, strengthening their campaign in the ongoing season.
