Paul Onuachu wins Turkish Süper Lig Goal of the Season after his spectacular scissor kick for Trabzonspor earned top fan votes

Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu has been named winner of the Turkish Süper Lig Goal of the Season after his spectacular strike for Trabzonspor earned the highest number of fan votes.

The award-winning goal came during Trabzonspor’s 4-2 home victory over Fatih Karagümrük in September, where Onuachu produced a stunning scissor-kick finish inside the box.

Despite his towering frame, the 32-year-old executed an acrobatic effort that left fans and analysts in admiration, sealing one of the standout moments of the Turkish league season.

The goal had previously been voted Goal of the Month for September, further highlighting its technical brilliance and visual impact.

Onuachu’s strike was later confirmed as the overall Goal of the Season after a fan voting process that placed him ahead of strong competition from some of the league’s top stars.

Marco Asensio, who plays for Fenerbahçe, finished second in the voting, while Beşiktaş midfielder Orkun Kökçü secured third place.

Beyond the award-winning moment, Onuachu enjoyed an impressive campaign, scoring 26 goals and providing two assists in 43 appearances across all competitions for the Black Sea Storm.

His consistent goal output and decisive performances played a key role in Trabzonspor’s attacking strength throughout the season.
