Super Eagles stars Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke have been nominated for the Liga African Player of the Season award alongside top African footballers, with winners to be decided in Lagos

Super Eagles forwards Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke have been nominated for the Liga African Player of the Season award.

Both players will compete against 18 other African stars for the prestigious honour.

The award list includes players such as Inaki Williams of Athletic Bilbao, Sevilla’s trio of Pape Gueye, Thomas Partey, and Nicolas Pepe, as well as Levante’s Karl Etta Eyong.

This year’s edition of the award, the fifth, will be held in Lagos, Nigeria.

Previous winners include Nigeria’s Samuel Chukwueze and Morocco goalkeeper Yassine Bounou.

Fans across Africa will contribute to the selection process through voting, alongside a panel of experts.

The nomination highlights the growing influence of Nigerian players in African and European football.
