Angel Smith queer identity affirmed as the reality star addresses her US wedding and personal life, emphasising independence and openness about sexuality

Reality TV star Angel Smith has publicly reaffirmed her queer identity following reports of her wedding to her partner, Tumininu, in the United States.

The former Big Brother Naija finalist took to X to clarify her personal stance, stating: “And I have been openly queer before AND after I went for that show, please never attribute my greatness to a man, he could never have made me this cool, thangyaaaaa.”

The remarks followed circulating videos and photos of an intimate white wedding reportedly held in the U.S., attended by close friends and family. The minimalist yet stylish ceremony featured an “all black” dress theme for guests.

In shared footage, Tumininu wore a tailored black suit with a white shirt, black bow tie, and floral lapel brooch, while Angel wore a white strapless mini dress with veil and heels.

Angel and Tumininu publicly confirmed their relationship in 2025 and are said to have conducted a civil ceremony earlier this year. Her statement has sparked discussions across Nigerian social media, with conversations centring on celebrity influence, sexuality, and public perception.

Prior to this, Angel was romantically linked to fellow reality star Soma Anyama, a relationship that began during the BBNaija All Stars edition in 2023 and ended in early 2024.

Angel has previously criticised the intense scrutiny surrounding her private life.
