Afri AGRITECH Institute, launched by Zubara Global Services and TAC Africa, aims to combat youth crime and unemployment through smart agribusiness training, tech hubs, and cooperative empowerment in vulnerable communities

Afri AGRITECH Institute, a new initiative launched by Zubara Global Services Limited in partnership with the Tech for Agriculture and Community Africa Initiative (TAC Africa), is set to tackle youth crime and unemployment through smart farming and technology-driven training.

The programme, targeting vulnerable youth aged 15 to 30, women, and smallholder farmers, aims to transform agriculture into a tool for social change.

With a focus on agritech innovation and community empowerment, the initiative seeks to reduce youth-involved crime by sixfold in selected communities.

Speaking on the launch, Zubara CEO, Promise Chizara, said:

“Agriculture is more than just food; it is empowerment. This institute will help youth escape poverty and violence by turning agribusiness into a sustainable livelihood.”

Through bootcamps, agritech hubs, and cooperative building, the Afri AGRITECH Institute will create over 500 jobs across agriculture and technology sectors, while fostering peace in at-risk communities.
