Super Eagles Training Ahead Zimbabwe Clash as Nigeria step up preparations for Unity Cup semi-final against Zimbabwe in London

Twenty players trained at the Charlton Athletic Stadium on Monday night as the Super Eagles completed final preparations for their Unity Cup semi-final clash against Zimbabwe in London.

The session formed part of head coach Éric Chelle’s build-up to the encounter, with several senior players still being awaited in camp ahead of the decisive fixture.

Former Golden Eaglets captain Samson Tijani joined the squad in time for the training session, adding depth to a group that is expected to feature a number of emerging talents.

Key players including Wilfred Ndidi, Moses Simon, Akor Adams, Emmanuel Fernandez and Raphael Onyedika are still expected to arrive in London as preparations continue.

Chelle is anticipated to field a largely experimental side against Zimbabwe due to the absence of several first-team regulars, opening the door for new and fringe players to make an impression.

Players such as Femi Azeez, Owen Oseni and Rafiu Durosinmi are among those expected to make their debut for the national team in the encounter against Zimbabwe’s Warriors.

The semi-final clash, which kicks off at 7:30pm Nigeria time, will determine who advances to face either Jamaica or India in the Unity Cup final scheduled for Saturday.
