EFCC arrests suspected internet fraudsters in Ogun State, seizing vehicles and devices in a major sting operation

EFCC arrests suspected internet fraudsters in a sweeping operation that netted 93 individuals in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission described the sting as a significant step in tackling cybercrime in the region.

According to EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale, the suspects were apprehended following credible intelligence linking them to internet crimes. The coordinated raid took place on Sunday and was part of the agency’s ongoing commitment to safeguard the digital space.

During the operation, EFCC operatives recovered 18 vehicles and numerous mobile devices believed to be connected to fraudulent activities. Investigations are ongoing, and the suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion.
