Former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, has issued a goodwill message to the Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, calling for renewed unity and compassion in what he described as a timely Goodluck Jonathan Eid al-Fitr message unity appeal.

Jonathan emphasised that the lessons of Ramadan should extend beyond the period of fasting, encouraging citizens to adopt values that promote peaceful coexistence and mutual respect.

According to him, unity and compassion remain essential pillars for national progress, particularly in a diverse country like Nigeria where religious and ethnic differences must be managed with understanding.
