Senator Ned Nwoko announces he has secured over ₦30 billion in projects for Delta North, funded by President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aiming to transform the region

Senator Ned Nwoko has announced a significant development for Delta North, revealing that he has facilitated over ₦30 billion in projects aimed at transforming the region’s infrastructure and agricultural sectors.

The funding, secured through President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, is set to address critical needs within the area.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Senator Nwoko expressed his satisfaction with the progress, stating, “I am proud to announce that through President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, I’ve facilitated over ₦30 billion in projects aimed at transforming the lives of the people of Delta North and beyond.”

These projects, financed through the President’s special intervention funds, are strategically focused on enhancing infrastructure and boosting agricultural productivity within the region.

“These projects will address key infrastructure needs and improve agricultural productivity in the region,” Nwoko added, highlighting the dual focus of the initiative.

Among the ongoing projects, Senator Nwoko pointed to notable advancements at the Benin-Owena River Basin Authority. Specifically, the construction of treatment plants and reticulation systems at the Ogwashi-Uku Dam in Aniocha South is already yielding positive results in improving water management for local communities.

“Additionally, the Idumuje Dam project in Aniocha North is set to fast-track water management solutions in the area, with over ₦7.5 billion invested,” Nwoko said, underscoring the critical importance of addressing the region’s water challenges.

Beyond water management, Senator Nwoko also highlighted the prioritization of irrigation systems across Delta North. These systems are designed to significantly boost farming activities, with provisions for quality seedlings, fertilizers, and essential farming implements for local farmers.

“Together, we will continue to build a prosperous and thriving Delta State,” Nwoko concluded, reaffirming his commitment to ensuring year-round farming and enhancing food security for the people of Delta North.
