Tinubu billboards Edo: Governor Okpebholo directs 18 LG chairmen to mount 360 billboards to boost grassroots support for 2027

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has directed the 18 Local Government chairmen in the state to mount 360 campaign billboards in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.

The governor gave the directive on Friday, January 30, during the inauguration of the Edo State chapter of the National Renewed Hope Initiative, established to promote the President’s agenda.

Okpebholo said each council chairman is to erect 20 billboards within their jurisdictions to ensure the President’s message reaches local communities, churches, mosques, and other institutions.

“It is not just about the agenda; it is about the ability to mobilise. The Edo people are ready. Nobody can beat Asiwaju’s record in governance. We cannot replace a man who is performing,” he said.

The governor praised President Tinubu for reforms in the petroleum sector, security, education, and the economy, expressing confidence that citizens across age groups in Edo State would back the President’s re-election.

He added that with 30 APC governors nationwide, the campaign structure is already strong and victory in 2027 is assured.

Earlier, the Edo State Coordinator of the National Renewed Hope Initiative, Sylvester Aigboboh, inaugurated senatorial, local government, and youth coordinators to support mobilisation efforts for the 2027 campaign.

He urged the coordinators to promote the policies and achievements of the Tinubu administration and intensify grassroots engagement across communities.

The initiative aims to strengthen party outreach, promote good governance, and consolidate the Renewed Hope Agenda. The appointed ambassadors are expected to serve as links between the government, the party, and the grassroots while fostering unity within the APC.

The three senatorial leaders of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors are Joshua Uwagboe for Edo South, Hon. Odinose Okojie for Edo Central, and Hon. Abdul Lawani for Edo North.

Eighteen others will coordinate activities across the local government areas, while three youth coordinators have been appointed from each senatorial district.
